The Peruvian Booby hunts fish in cool waters off western South America. It breeds on coastal cliffs and slopes on small islands.
Its wings and back are brown with white mottling at the feather tips. The head and lower throat are white, the bill and legs grey, and the eyes a deep red.
By day it flies over the sea and plunge-dives for anchoveta and other fish. It nests on cliffs and small island slopes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
