A soft-furred rat recorded from mountain sites in central Sulawesi. Its original scientific description examined only two specimens, so ecological records are limited.
The back is brownish gray and the underside light gray. The fur was described as silky, with white covering roughly the terminal third to half of the tail.
The original description gives no observations of diet or reproduction. The specimens came from central Sulawesi localities around 1,800 m elevation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
