This small carnivorous marsupial has a gray-brown back and large, thin ears. It lives in forests and woodlands of northern and eastern Australia and searches for insects at night.
The fur is grayish brown above and paler underneath. The ears are large and thin, and the tail is no longer than the body.
It is mostly nocturnal, hunting insects, spiders, and centipedes, and sometimes small reptiles or frogs. During the day it shelters in communal nests in tree hollows, crevices, or logs on the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
