Pavel's Seram melomys is a small rat known from Seram Island, Indonesia. Information about its life is very limited; the 2003 description reported one specimen.
The specimen was described with a reddish-brown back, white underside, and black tail. The original description was based on one Seram animal.
The only reported specimen was a pregnant female caught at night in a ground trap. The site was disturbed mid-elevation forest on limestone.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
