The Grey Sunbird ranges across eastern and southern Africa. Males are subdued gray with red pectoral tufts, and the species feeds on nectar as well as small arthropods.
The male is mostly inconspicuous gray; its red pectoral tufts are the field mark noted in the southern African atlas.
It uses the inner and upper forest canopy and feeds mainly on nectar, with termites and other small arthropods also recorded in its diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
