This shrimp is known from Surat Thani Province, Thailand.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the rostrum is small and points slightly downwards.
At Bang Sawan Spring in Surat Thani Province, Thailand, it was found densely among bank-plant roots and the stems and leaves of submerged plants. This freshwater spring is far from the coast.
In the observed living specimens, the body is translucent with numerous deep blue spots.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the back edge of the telson is nearly triangular without a central projection.
