A green, tree-dwelling pigeon in which males have brighter throats and rumps, while females are duller. A 2026 study found that records since 2000 are concentrated in Timor-Leste, especially Lautem District.
The male is slightly greyish green, brighter on the throat, rump, and uppertail coverts. Its wings are greyish black with yellow-fringed coverts, and the vent and undertail coverts are white tipped with green. The female is duller green.
It lives in trees and mainly eats fruit. Species data list primary and tall secondary lowland monsoon forest from sea level to 600 m.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
