This small bovid lives in West African forests. It has striped markings on its back and short horns; the account records it in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Côte d'Ivoire.
The middle of the back has black vertical stripes over a cream-colored patch. The head, neck, rump, and limbs are reddish brown, with some black patches near the leg joints.
It occurs in primary forest from low river valleys to hill forest and eats leaves, shoots, and seasonal fruits. The account also reports feeding on fruit and leaves that fall to the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
