The Red-tailed Greenbul inhabits forests of western and central Africa. Its white beard-like feathering and reddish tail are distinctive.
Adults have an olive-brown head and hindneck, black bristles, and a conspicuous white beard that can be puffed out. The underparts are bright yellow, with olive flanks.
Groups of about 3–12 defend a territory and may lead mixed-species flocks. They eat mainly insects and larvae, along with fruit and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
