The Long-tailed Myna lives on islands of the Bismarck and Solomon archipelagos. Glossy black plumage is set off by a white rump and yellow belly; it feeds on fruit in the canopy.
A large yellow-orange patch of bare skin surrounds the eye. The plumage is glossy black, with white on the rump, uppertail coverts, and wing. The lower belly is deep golden yellow, and the bill and legs are orange-yellow.
It feeds on fruit and is usually alone or in pairs in the canopy. It uses forest, forest edge, plantations, secondary growth, and village gardens, nesting in tree holes or broken palms.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
