The Green-and-gold Tanager is a small bird of western Amazonian forest. Its bright colors are shared by both sexes. A National Aquarium account says it forages in the canopy and descends to lower places to nest.
The National Aquarium describes both males and females as brightly colored, mainly green and yellow with some blue.
It forages mainly in the canopy on insects and fruit, then nests lower down in small shrubs or tree nooks. The National Aquarium account says females incubate and both parents care for the chicks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
