Baer’s Hylomyscus is a small mouse recorded in Côte d’Ivoire. The study reports age-related variation in dorsal color and records from forest edges and secondary forest.
In a study of 16 specimens, the back ranged from brown to russet with age-related variation; the underside was white from the mouth to the anus, with a yellow line separating the two.
Specimens were caught in shrubs at a forest edge in Adiopodoumé and collected in secondary forest and a cocoa plantation at Divo.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
