The Hawaii Creeper searches for small invertebrates in wet ʻōhiʻa and koa forest. A 2015 state plan describes four separated populations above 1,500 m on Hawaiʻi Island.
Adults are olive above and pale buff below, with a dark band around the eyes. Males are brighter than females.
It searches for small invertebrates on branches and trunks. Outside the breeding season it may join mixed-species flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
