The Roraiman Antbird lives in tepui forest from southeastern Venezuela into western Guyana and far northern Brazil. A study distinguished it from the related Spot-winged Antbird group using morphology, vocalizations, and genetic evidence.
Males are mostly blackish slate with white tips on the wing coverts, forming pale spots. Females have a gray head, dark cinnamon-brown back, and chestnut throat and underparts.
Field observations recorded pairs in dense understory beside clear, fast-flowing streams on rocky slopes. A species database classifies it as a diurnal, terrestrial invertebrate eater.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
