This tyrant flycatcher lives in Jamaica’s humid mountain forests. It has olive-brown upperparts and white wing-bars, and eats insects and fruit. Current references treat it separately from the former Greater Antillean Elaenia.
It has olive-brown upperparts and faint breast streaking, with two white wing-bars. The otherwise black bill has a pink base to the lower mandible.
It uses humid montane forest, thickets, and forest edges, and feeds on insects and fruit. It is also recorded in mixed flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
