Pearson's long-clawed shrew has a dark back, a paler underside and unusually long foreclaws. Its recorded range is restricted to Sri Lanka's Central Highlands; the natural-history account says little is known about its behavior.
The fur is dark gray along the back and lighter underneath. Its ears are hidden by fur, and the forefeet have exceptionally long claws.
The account lists both invertebrates and vertebrates in its diet, while stating that behavior and reproduction are unknown.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
