This small mouse has reddish-brown upper fur and a white belly and chin. HMW reports three localities in southern Central African Republic and describes underground burrows with plant-lined nest chambers.
The upper fur is reddish brown, while the underside and chin are pure white. The ears are large, blackish, and slightly pointed, with a white spot behind each ear; the feet are white.
HMW says the species makes simple underground burrows with spherical nest chambers lined with vegetation. Individuals nest alone except for females with litters.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
