This species is known from one specimen collected near the Little Abbai headwaters in the Ethiopian highlands at about 2,600 m. Its aquatic adaptation and diet are inferred from morphology.
It has dense, soft fur, small fur-covered ear pinnae, and large hindfeet fringed with long hairs.
The specialist profile considers it water-adapted and probably insectivorous. Both points are inferences from its limited specimen material, not direct observations.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
