The Chihuahuan Raven lives in dry grasslands and desert scrub. It forms flocks year-round and searches widely for food.
It is entirely black, with a heavy, straight bill and long nasal bristles. The white bases of the neck feathers are usually hidden unless the feathers are fluffed or exposed by wind.
It forms flocks throughout the year, including during nesting, and eats fruits, grains, small animals, eggs, nestlings, and carrion. It forages in the air, in trees, and on the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
