This southern Amazonian titi monkey was described in 2014 as Callicebus miltoni; the current genus used here is Plecturocebus. Its most distinctive pattern combines a pale forehead stripe, dark orange-brown sideburns and throat, a dark gray upper body, and an orange tail.
The forehead bears a gray-white stripe. The sideburns and throat are dark ocher to orange; the upper torso and flanks are dark gray. The chest, belly, and inner limbs are lighter orange, and the tail is orange except for a short basal area.
Records come from lowlands between the Roosevelt and Aripuanã rivers in Amazonas and Mato Grosso. The paper reports observations in open alluvial forest and secondary forest, from canopy to understory. One photographed adult ate Cecropia fruit while carrying an infant.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
