The Sumatran serow has a dark coat and backward-pointing horns. It lives mainly in mountain forests and near cliffs.
Its body resembles that of a goat or antelope, and its coat is dark gray to black. The horns point backward, taper toward the tips, and are often slightly curved.
It is shy and usually solitary, though small groups are sometimes seen. It spends most of its time on land but is also a capable swimmer.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
