This rare bat is known from Bala Forest in southern Thailand. The original description was based on three specimens, and little is known about its natural history.
It is relatively large and has a noseleaf with a rounded rear edge.
Detailed behavior is unknown. Beetles were observed being caught and eaten, but this limited observation does not establish a specialized diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
