The Cinereous Antshrike is a small antbird about 14.5 cm long. It forages in the middle levels of Amazonian forest and is usually found with a mixed-species feeding flock.
The male is uniformly bluish gray. The female has a brown head, breast and upperparts with a rufous belly.
It uses the understory to midstory of humid lowland forest and eats small invertebrates. In Amazonia it forages in the midstory, almost always with mixed-species flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
