The spectacled African dormouse has a bushy tail and a striking black-and-white face mask. It lives among rocky areas in southwestern South Africa and uses crevices for shelter.
Its tail is bushy, and its face has a black-and-white mask-like pattern.
It nests and rests in cracks in the Cape's sandstone and other rocky crevices. It may also use stone enclosures or buildings, and move through narrow rock gaps.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
