Males of this spider have club-shaped hairs on their paired mouthparts. It is known from the Ciénaga area in the central Dominican Republic.
The described male has a pale ochre-yellow upper front-body plate with a dark central line and broader band visible through it. The lower face has two brown bands.
On 9 November 2005, it was collected under dry rolled-up leaves on the ground along a riverside path near Ciénaga. Collections from nearby tropical evergreen forest were also made in 1995.
Its legs are ochre to light brown, with pale tips and very indistinct dark rings near the ends of the femora and tibiae.
Its abdomen is bluish grey with black spots above and along the sides.
Male leg-spine rows vary in length, and some males have no spines at all.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
