The Bearded Wood Partridge is a quail relative from Mexican forests. Its grey-blue head and neck and red legs and bill stand out; it spends much of its time in ground-level thickets.
The body is reddish brown, with dark wings mottled in black and tan. The grey-blue head and neck have a small brown crest, and grey streaks mark the mantle and chest. The legs, bill, and eye-ring are red.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
