This capuchin lives around the Santa Marta mountains of northern Colombia. Its dark coat contrasts with pale fur on the head and shoulders.
Much of the body is dark brown, with cinnamon fur on the back and forelimbs. The sides of the head and shoulders are pale yellow; the face and ears are hairless and flesh-colored. Its tail is semi-prehensile.
It is thought to be active by day, mainly arboreal, and omnivorous. Few studies focus directly on this species, so these details are partly inferred from related capuchins.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
