Adult males have a snout rounded in both dorsal and lateral views. Adult males have enlarged, rounded finger discs. Adult males have broadly webbed toes. It is an arboreal, nocturnal frog found in humid rainforest along relatively slow-moving streams. Specimen-based records confirm it from near Angozongahy and Fotsialanana in western Makira Reserve and near Simpona Lodge in eastern Makira, Madagascar.
