This shrimp is known from Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.
In the examined specimens, the rostrum is straight or slightly curves downwards.
It favours well-oxygenated fresh water in middle to upper river courses.
In the observed living specimens, the body is translucent with many red dots and oblique red bands.
In the examined specimens, the second leg is longer and more slender than the first.
