The body is small, slender, and nearly cylindrical. The carapace reaches 4.6 mm in both sexes. The straight projection at the front has 3–11 upper teeth and 0–2 lower teeth. A broad triangular part near the mouth has no finger-like tip. At collection site 12, the stream was 2–3 m wide and 0.5–1 m deep, with large rocks, gravel, leaf litter, and aquatic plants on the bottom. Few shrimp were found among leaf litter and plants along the bank, and the water flowed at a moderate speed. It has been found in Qionghai City, Hainan Island.
