A burrowing rodent known from the Andean foothills of Argentina. Its 2023 description reports fine, soft fur, brownish-olive on the back and more olive-buff along the sides and underside.
The fur is dense, fine, and soft; the back is light brownish olive, the flanks deeper olive-buff, and the underside olive-buff.
Natural history is largely unknown. The two known localities are in the same Las Leñas Valley, where the landscape is Southern Andean Steppe with montane shrubland and grassland.
