The Ladak Pika is a large pika living in groups in open high-elevation habitats of Ladakh. A study in Changthang observed it gathering plants and storing them in haypiles.
It is a large pika, reported at 18–23 cm and 190–320 g. Its pale summer coat can have rufous tints, and its large ears carry tufts of hair.
In the Changthang study, groups of about 20–50 were reported in open alpine steppe. The pikas gathered plants into haypiles, selecting a plant set different from that of the comparison pika.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
