The Olive-backed Quail-Dove lives in wet forests from Central America to Colombia and Ecuador, foraging on or near the forest floor.
Adults have a white forehead and a white-and-dark stripe below the eye. The back is olive-brown, and the neck and breast can show green or purple iridescence.
It forages alone or in pairs in the understory or on the ground, taking seeds, fruit, and small invertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
