The Tarabundi vole is a small rodent known from forest records in Oaxaca, Mexico. Only a limited number of specimens and ecological records are described.
The tail was missing from the original specimen, but its thick base was taken to indicate that the animal had a relatively long tail.
The type locality was evergreen rainforest, and two additional adults were collected in nearby cloud forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
