This flying fox was studied on Vanikoro in the Solomon Islands. It was observed feeding on coconuts and breadfruit before dusk.
It is a flying fox, with a furred body and a wing membrane extending from the forelimbs along the sides of the body. The survey paper includes a photograph of this species.
During surveys on Vanikoro in 2014 and 2018, it foraged around 4–6 p.m. on coconuts, fan-palm flowers and nectar, and breadfruit. It was usually seen roosting alone, and occasionally in pairs.
