This striped mouse is known from northwestern Zambia. Its coat is coarse brown above and white below, with a black midline stripe. Ecological information is sparse: a 2016 species table lists forest habitat, while the species account says habitat and behavior are unknown.
A single black stripe runs down the middle of the back from between the ears to the rump; the lateral stripes bear buff-colored spots. The upper coat is coarse and brownish, contrasting with a white underside.
A 2016 species-by-species table classifies its habitat as rainforest. That table does not identify a particular observation site, and the TreatmentBank account says habitat and other ecological information are unavailable.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
