The heath pseudomys is a relatively large native Australian mouse of heath and woodland. Its blunt-looking face and long, hairy two-colored tail are distinctive.
Its back is gray-brown and the underside is pale buff to blackish. The hairy, two-colored tail is about as long as the head and body.
It favors dry heathland with abundant grass, flowers, and fungi, including heath that has regenerated for about five to fifteen years after fire.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
