The Andaman Spiny White-toothed Shrew is recorded from northern Middle Andaman Island. Its gray, brown-washed, semi-spiny coat and habitat among leaf litter in tropical evergreen forest are described in HMW. That 2018 account knew one museum specimen; a 2004 survey found no additional specimen.
The back is gray with a brown wash and covered in flattened, semi-spiny hairs. Long bristles grow from the slender tail, which is brown above and whitish below; the feet are white.
HMW 2018 gives the leaf litter of tropical evergreen forest up to about 100 m as habitat. The account knew only one specimen, so this is not a habitat survey across many sites.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
