The Grey Petrel ranges widely over the Southern Hemisphere's oceans. It has a grey body and white belly, and uses burrows on its breeding islands.
The upperparts are grey and the underside is whitish. It glides over the sea with long wings outstretched.
It forages mainly over the open ocean, taking squid and fish. For breeding, it returns to islands and nests in a burrow in the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
