The sepia short-tailed opossum is a small marsupial with few records. It is found in forests and is thought to live on the ground.
Its body is dark brown without stripes, and its short tail has very little fur.
Records are few, and it has been found in forest edges and interiors. Capture records suggest it is mainly terrestrial.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
