Sharpe's Rosefinch uses scrub above the treeline and mountain meadows in southwestern China. Males are reddish, while females are grey-brown and streaked.
The male has a maroon-brown back with black and pink streaks, and a pink rump and underparts. The grey-brown female has a pale eyebrow and wing markings and dark streaks on tawny underparts.
The field guide places it in scrub above the treeline and in mountain meadows.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
