The Lineated Barbet eats fruit and excavates nesting holes in dead trees. In Singapore, an introduced population occurs in parks and along woodland edges.
It has a green body with fine brown streaks on the head, neck, and chest. Its thick pale bill and yellow eye patch are also distinctive.
It feeds on figs and berries in the canopy. It excavates nest holes in dead trees and also uses woodland edges and tree-lined residential areas.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
