The Pilbara ningaui is a small marsupial from Western Australia's Pilbara region. A field study found it most often in hummock grassland with an open layer of mallee or scrub above it.
A Western Australian Museum field note describes it as smaller than a mouse, with narrow hind feet. It resembles a close relative, so appearance alone may not separate the species.
One animal was observed climbing a low shrub at night. In the study, pouch young and females with developed mammary glands were recorded from September to March, and few individuals survived into a second breeding season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
