Black, mane-like fur frames its face, and much of its body is golden. This small monkey lives in coastal forests of southeastern Brazil.
Tufts of fur like a lion's mane frame its small, wrinkled face. The mane, arms, and tail are black, while the rest of the body is golden.
It is active by day and shelters at night in tree cavities or holes. It eats fruit, flowers, gum, and nectar, as well as insects found under bark and small lizards and snakes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
