The Pacific Forest Long-tongued Bat occurs on the Pacific lowlands of southwestern Colombia and northwestern Ecuador. Its original description notes short brown dorsal fur and specimens collected in rainforest.
The short dorsal hairs have creamy-brown bases and pale to medium-brown tips; the head is darker than the lower back. The ventral fur is shorter and paler yellowish gray-brown.
The original paper records several specimens from premontane rainforest on the east bank of the Río Zabaletas near the village of Zabaletas in Colombia.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
