The Western Jebeer is a gazelle with pale reddish-sandy fur and whitish underparts. It lives along the margins of the Iranian Plateau’s cold deserts, among low desert shrubs, in places with little or no surface water.
Its coat is pale reddish sandy, with whitish belly and rump and little or no dark flank band. Dark facial stripes and the nose spot are faint. It has long ears and well-developed knee tufts. Both sexes have horns. In males they slope backward, spread somewhat outward, and turn slightly inward at the tips; females have long, thinner horns with less prominent rings.
It uses low-growing desert scrub along the margins of the cold deserts of the Iranian Plateau, where surface water is little or absent.
