The body is small, slender, and nearly cylindrical. The carapace reaches 4.6 mm in males and 5.0 mm in females. The short, straight projection at the front has 8–12 upper teeth and 0–2 lower teeth. A broad triangular part near the mouth ends in a finger-like tip. At site 6, the streambed had rocks, sand, and leaf litter; at site 7 it had large rocks, gravel, and mud. Many shrimp were found among leaf litter, and the water at both sites flowed at a moderate speed. It has been found in Yinggen Town, Qiongzhong County, Hainan Island.
