Adult males have a snout rounded in dorsal view and rounded to slightly sloped in lateral view. Adult males have enlarged, rounded finger discs. Adult males have broadly webbed toes. It is an arboreal, nocturnal frog found in humid rainforest along fast-flowing streams. Specimen-based records confirm it from near Camp Simpona on the Marojejy Massif and from the Sorata Massif, northeastern Madagascar.
