Known from southern Cameroon, males of this spider have cone-shaped hairs on the rim just above the mouth.
In the described male, the upper front-body plate is ochre-yellow, with a brown rear mark and brown lateral margins. The lower half of the face below the eyes has a pair of dark marks.
It was found in a small canyon in well-preserved forest near Ebolowa. At Nkoetye, it was also found in man-made ground holes in disturbed forest.
At these sites, the spiders built large webs in sheltered spaces near the ground.
Its abdomen is ochre-gray with distinct black patterns above, on the sides, and below. The femur and tibia tips are whitish, with dark rings near their ends and around the patellae.
The described male has about 12 cone-shaped hairs near the rim of the face below the eyes. Other males from southern Cameroon vary up to about 20; females lack the male facial modification.
The rim just above the male mouth projects slightly and bears cone-shaped hairs.
