This uncommon fruit bat was collected in swamp forest near Lindu Lake on Sulawesi. It is known from a very limited area.
The original description reports cream-colored chest fur, a dark brown to chocolate abdomen, and brown sides of the neck.
The original study collected four specimens in swamp forest. Its food was not known in that paper.
